I am a singer, songwriter and performer. I’m based in the historic market town of Ampthill, in Bedfordshire, England. I’ve written and recorded a lot of songs over the years, many of which you can listen to on the Songs page. I do think of life as a journey in all sorts of ways, and hopefully my songs have sometimes succeeded in capturing one or other aspect of that journey. I perform solo at folk clubs, and festivals. Please enquire about bookings via the Contact page. I’m a lot less money than Richard Thompson, and I usually manage to put on a good show to boot! In my ‘spare time’ from solo work, I front an unashamed good old-fashioned covers band, called The Journeymen – we do weddings, parties, pubs, and, well… …anything!
I run a couple of YouTube channels: Peter’s Songs, which unsurprisingly is full of my versions of songs (original songs, other people’s songs, and folk songs); and Peter’s Acoustic Music Channel, which is full of guitar lessons, and which is fast turning into a pretty big ‘community’, and gives me lots of pleasure, as well as the odd headache!
Finally, if you want to stream my songs, they are available on Spotify, Apple Music and the other popular streaming services. Search for my albums: ‘Gold Ring Glinting’ (by the Peter Webster Band), and ‘Letters’ (by plain old Peter Webster).
